I recently did a spot of re-branding/some business cards for Hot Club de Swing!

Hot Club de Swing is Birmingham’s premier, regular Electro Swing night at the Hare and Hounds in Kings Heath.

Organised and curated by the Electric Swing Circus, Hot Club is home to the best of jazz, speakeasy, DJ’s and live bands, alongside cabaret and circus performances.

These double-sided business cards were designed for the photographers to hand out - the design incorporates the jester theme of the original logo, but in a mock playing card setting, complete with authentic looking rounded edges and aged textures to reflect the aesthetic of the night itself. This was so much fun to work on, and they look so good in print so I’m pretty pleased.

New logo/self-branding for 2012-2013. And new double-sided, round-edged business cards. Yes, the logo is me from the side, based on victorian silhouettes, but with added ‘pencil behind the ear’ flourish. I thought it was pretty cool. And a marked improvement on the old cards, since they’re less cluttered, and more professional looking, in my opinion. Sorry for not updating in such a long time. Thanks to everyone who’s stuck with this blog still.

My business cards finally came in the mail today!  The weight of the paper and the finish on them is gorgeous! Very pleased with how they look, also ecstatic to be able to say ‘here’s my card’ to people from now on.
